Its Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

As this weekend was the long Holiday weekend, what better way to get into the Chirstmas spirit by decorating our house for Christmas.  Friday night while I was out with friends Dan and the boys hauled the tree inside and got it set up.  Saturday we went to town decorating, or "trimming the tree"  What a beautiful site it is:)  Our Camera is on the fritz otherwise I would have pictures of the masterpiece done mostly by Adam....He LOVED putting the decorations on the tree!

That night we went downtown with Mindy and Kaylee to see the Macy's 8th floor display, "A Day In The Life Of An Elf", saw the big guy himself, ate McDonalds, and sat out in the freezing cold waiting for the Holidazle parade.

All of these events were very excting as they were firsts for both Adam and Christpopher....excpet of course seeing the big guy.   Christopher sat on Santa's lap and did just fine.  He was however trying to figure out who this big guy with the funny suit and beard were.  Adam on the other hand was a little hesitant and did not want much to do with him.  He soon warmed up when Santa gave him a button.  In the end he was telling Santa he wanted toys for Christmas and gave him a high five and yelled "BYE SANTA."

The Holidazle was a great way to end our day of gearing up for the Christmas Holiday.  The weather was cold, but the lights were pretty, and all the kids enjoyed it!  Now if only I could get this motivated to get my Christmas shopping done:)  Happy Holidays!!!

Thanks Mindy for taking great pictures for us:)

Adam and Kaylee were excited to see the Macy's Display

Happy Halloween 2010

For Halloween this year Adam was dressed as a cow, and Christopher was Mickey Mouse.  This was a big night for out little Trick or Treaters....Especially Christopher as this was his first night out trick or treating.  Adam went last year but didn't really get it.  This year he loved it.

Auntie Meagan and Matt were down visting for the weekend so they came out with us as we hit up the houses in our neighborhood.

From there we went to Grandpas, and then off to Pat and Lindsey's to do some trick or treating with Ben.

We ended the night visting Grandma.

Adam absolutely loved trick or treating, and was sooooo good at it....sometimes he was a little too friendly:)  it was a great night filled with fun, and lots of candy....Until next year.

Happy Halloween!!!

Splish Splash

I feel like I am pretty good at taking pictures of the boys, but I don't really have any bath time photos....so during the last bath time....Dan thought it was a great opportunity for a photo opp.

The boys seem to love bath time for the most part, until its time to wash their hair.  We have a hand-held shower, which seems to be the best way to get their hair washed...
Adam doesn't seem to mind it, as he loves taking showers, where Christopher on the other hand, as soon as the shower is in your hand, he is screaming and squirming to get the heck out of the tub.

After a minute of torture, they are back to having a good time....

Halloween at General Mills

On Saturday, October 24th the boys and I along with Mindy, and Jason and all the kids were invited to General Mills where Lindsey works for the Fall Festival.  The kids can dress up in their costumes, play games, get their faces painted, and go on a candy walk.   It was a great day,and all the kids had a ton of fun.  Can't wait to do it all over again next year.

E PIASE

Adam has been getting into coloring so much more lately and it seems like every day we are bringing home prized artwork from our little Picasso.....Well one day last week Adam had made a rainbow, which he was very excited that he came up with this all on his own.  Rita is always good about giving me his artwork every day when we leave her house but today Adam had to give me this all on his own.

He held it behind his back, and said "Mommy Close Eyes.....E PIASE!"  Translation: "Mommy Cose your eyes....SURPRISE!"  It was so darn cute hearing him get all excited.  It has now turned into a game....he starts with Mommy and Daddy, then Christopher all the way down to D-Dogg (his blankie)  I just love hearing him get all excited:)

I can't wait to hear what he comes up with next!

Adam Goes to The Farm....

Today is my Grandma Knutson's birthday, so last night they had people over to celebrate her birthday with some cake and Ice Cream.  So...we loaded the kids up and made the treck to the family Farm in Becker.

My grandparents don't farm anymore, but have since sold off some of the land and moved up the road on another part of the land.

My Aunt now lives in the farm house, and does some of the farming.  Adam is really into animals right now, so I thought taking him down to the old farm would be a treat.  I remember going to the farm as a kid, and thought how cool it was.

so down to the farm we went....they don't farm as many animals as before but there are still cows, Chickens, Geese, and of course Farm cats.  Adam was in aww..of all of this....He said hi to the cows, Loved the geese, and thought the Chickens were funny.

Of course I didn't remember to bring my camera to take pictures of any of this, I usually do end up forgetting it.....but there will be more opportunites for photos at the farm.

Welcome Home Ben!

Tonight we got to meet our little nephew Ben.  Pat, Lindsey, and Ben drove all night from Dallas to arrive this evening for us to go over to their house and meet him.  Here are some snap shots of the first meeting with Ben.

Adam was really into the baby:)

Adam and Christopher were so happy to finally be "Big Cousins" and cannot wait to start showing Ben the ways.  I can already tell the 3 boys, or the A.B.C. Boys as we like to refer to them are going to be the best of friends.

The Eye Roll....

I guess we need to start watching our actions and behaviors around home seeing as though we have a 2 year old that picks up on everything.  Here is an example of one of my bad habits that Adam seemed to pick up on.....

Last night while Dan and I were enjoying dinner, Adam climbed up on his chair and wanted to try our food too.  He was already done with his dinnner and all cleaned up, bath and all so we really didn't want him to get dirty again, but thought fine if he wants to try our Chinese food we are not going to stop him.  So we gave him a taste of Chicken and Noodles.....he didn't like that...He wanted a cookie instead.  Dan gave him a Fortune Cookie which he took 2 bites out of, and decided he didn't want that either.  After a few minutes of fussing and trying to grab at the food Dan told Adam that he needed to get away from the table and go and watch TV.

Instead of Adam just getting up and walking away he looks at Dan sighs. and rolls his eyes at him!  I started to snicker which I know is not what you are supposed to do, but I was shocked that he knew how to do that.  Dan didn't see him at first so asked why I was laughing.... I told Adam to show daddy what he did, so he did it again SIGH...Eye Roll!  I asked him "Adam, Where did you learn that."  Without hesitation Dan looks and me and says Umm... You of course.

Lesson Learned....as cute as it was watching Adam roll his eyes at something....it's not a funny thing to do...And Dan from now on you will not see any eye rolls from this direction:)

Twisty Turn Twist....

Adam and Christopher are really into watching cartoons together.  They like to watch all diffrent shows, but really like Handy Manny.  If you don't have small children, or don't know who Handy Manny is....it is a cartoon on Playhouse Disney in which Manny is a Handy man with talking tools that go on jobs to fix things.   Anyway, Adam and Critter love watching this show, and dancing to one particular song....Twisty Turn Twist.....here is a sample of how excited they get when the Famous Twisty Turn Twist comes on.  If you notice, Adam also turns the volume up to make sure we can all hear the famous Twisty Turn Twist!

Momma's Boys

How sweet are these 2?  I love this picture, so I had to post it.  Enjoy:)

4th Of July

I know I am a little behind on updating the blog....summer does that to you, but better late than never right?

So this 4th of July was spent like the last 2 have been..on beautiful Bay Lake...and Ruttgers Bay Lake Lodge. This is quickly becoming our "4th of July" traditon, and a great one at that. This year our group got a little bigger as it was Mindy(Kaylee) Joe, Angel (Silas), Dave, Pat and Lindsey, Jim and Rita. We thought of the brilliant Idea, and I stress Brilliant idea of bringing along a personal nanny to help us with the boys. My step sister Sarah was very willing and Eager to come with us and help with all the kiddies while us grown ups could go out and enjoy a late night boat ride, or a nice dinner without the kiddies. Thanks again Sarah we were so happy to have you with us, and hope you want to continue in the Bay Lake Tradion:)

Critter and Dan taking us for a cruise on the Pontoon Thursday afternoon before everyone arrived for the weekend fun.

Adam and his new buddy Silas.  They really had a lot of fun playing together!

Thursday night after everyone arrived and got everything settled, us adults took an evening cruise before dinner at the White Hawk.  The White Hawk has been closed for the past 3 summers, so we were very excited to see that it is finally opened again.

What a beautiful night for a cruise.

Friday was spent on the beach monstly where the kids had a blast playing in the sand and water.

After a fun filled day of boating, jet skiing, and just relaxing on the beach it was time for the annual 4th of July Fireworks.    Some people took the boat out to watch the show, but Joe, Angel, Silas, Dan, the boys, and I stayed on shore.  Ruttgers had a great pre-fireworks concert, which the kids loves, and we even found ourselves getting photographed for the Bay Lake News:)

The rest of the weekend was spent boating, hanging out at the beach, eating, shopping.  Thanks everyone for such a great 4th, can't wait until next year:)
